Ways to sabotage your weight loss program
Want to lose weight? Did your target ever achieved? Well, if not then you’re in luck. Here are a few tips on how to tackle those few pounds. This is not a magic trick or a short cut. If you want to lose weight then you must have discipline and determination in achieving your goal. If not, then don’t bother to read because this is not for you. But, if you ever wonder why you didn't manage to lose weight that this is for you. There are so many things that will sabotage your weight loss program but here is the most common one:
Don’t tell others about your goal:
When we keep our goals to ourselves it is a sure way to reduce the accountability of our actions. Anyone who has tried and failed at weight loss, or at any goal they’ve set, knows that reaching out to others, breaking the code of silence, and bringing in a support group will create a sense of responsibility to oneself and the person(s) that shares the ‘secret’. Remember: some secrets are worth sharing.
+ Some popular weight loss support groups include: Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers and Tops.
Grocery shop when you are hungry:
Studies have shown that the worse time to shop for groceries is when you have an empty stomach. Not only will you buy appealing, off limit items, such as gooey bakery items or bags of munchies, but you increase your chance to over buy.
+ If you want your body, and NOT your wallet to get thin, shop after a nutritious meal or snack.
Keep high calorie junk food in your house:
The selections you make at the supermarket can make all of the difference in a successful or self sabotaging weight loss program. Plan a menu for the week or month, list the ingredients needed for cooking and stick to it when you are in the store.
+If you don’t see it, you won’t eat it…so keep it in the store and out of your house.

Healthy Nuts and Benefits
Have you ever eaten nuts? Is it good? Of course it’s good. Nut is one of the most nutritious foods available to us. There are tons of benefit eating nuts. Nuts are used in various kinds of food products such as chocolate, ice-cream, cake, or just eat raw just like that. Nut is more healthy benefit than most of the vegetables and fruits. They say nuts contain omega-3 that good for your brain. Well, personally nuts are good for midnight snack while watching television, rather than eating other unhealthy snack.
Listed below are 8 healthy nuts and their benefits:
1 - Walnuts* - Boost the ability to recall - thanks to the omega-3 fatty acids. Walnuts contain more fatty acid than tuna and salmon - and no need to worry about mercury. Eating 1/4 cup daily provides the recommended daily amount needed to prevent depression and Alzheimer's.
2 - Almonds - Will help eliminate a headache - because, like aspirin, almonds contain salicylates, the same natural chemical that will reduce inflammation and block pain signals. Just a handful will provide the same benefit as two aspirins without the possibility of stomach upsets.
3 - Chestnuts** - Help ease stress - and are the only nut that contains vitamin C, a nutrient that helps ease stress. Chestnuts are also the nuts lowest in calories and fat. They can be eaten roasted, boiled or raw.
4 - Macadamia Nuts - Are good for the heart - due to the natural oils high in heart-healthy monounsaturated fat - which contains oleic fatty acids and palmitoleic fatty acids. Macadamia nuts have the highest amount of monounsaturated fatty acids in a natural food.
5 - Brazil Nuts - Reduce anxiety - due to their selenium. Just three Brazil nuts will give you a day's worth of this important mineral. Selenium has mood-boosting and anti-anxiety properties.
6 - Pecans - Will lower cholesterol - because of their high amount of plant sterols, vitamin E, and beta-sitosterol - which is a cholesterol lowering compound. Pecans can lower LDL (bad) cholesterol by16 percent. Pecans also have a higher antioxidant content than other nuts.
7 - Cashews - Reduce the risk of heart disease - due to the monounsaturated fats which, in turn, help to lower bad cholesterol. Cashews are also rich in iron, phosphorus, magnesium, selenium and zinc, as well as phytochemicals and antioxidants beneficial in protecting us from cancer. The magnesium is good for bone growth.
Note: Referred to as a nut, the cashew nut is botanically known as a seed.
8 - Pine Nuts - Are appetite suppressor - because they are a good source of a polyunsaturated fat known as pinolenic acid, which stimulates secretion from a hormone produced in the intestines - and signals your brain that you are full. Pine nuts also slow down the rate of how quickly your stomach empties, helping you feel full longer.
Note: Referred to as nuts, pine nuts are actually seeds from pine cones

Brain cancer is usually caused by growth of cancer cells in the brain itself or the spread of cancer cells to the brain from other parts of the body. In the former case it is categorized as primary and in the latter as secondary. The tumor may be benign or malignant. If benign, it may not be life threatening. The malignant one is cancerous and is the leading killer among all types of cancer.
It may be difficult to notice the brain cancer at early stage because some of the symptoms may be too common and most of the people just ignored it. People tend to wait until it become too serious before consulting to doctor. Here are some of the symptoms that need to be noticed:
Commonly Associated Symptoms
* A gradual feeling of lethargy with every passing day.
* Signs of general weakness.
* Vomiting.
* Dizziness or maybe a short blackout spell.
* Fever coupled with hallucinations.
* Persistent migraine or full blown headache.
* Decline in vision or hearing.
* Lack of coordination while performing routine tasks like eating or walking etc.
* Stumbling due to unexplained reasons.
Additional Symptoms
* Feeling of numbness in both arms and legs or either arm(s) or leg(s).
* Experiencing weakness on only one side of the body.
* Both or either arm(s) or leg(s) getting numb for a period of time.
* Swelling in the brain detected during a scan.
* Hydrocephalus.
Brain Cancer affects that organ of the body which controls all other body functions. As a result, as this cancer progresses, newer and newer symptoms will keep emerging in the patient which will restrict his functioning if remedial action is not taken to control the growth. Since cancer cells will start dominating the brain cells, a direct impact will be in the form of:
* Loss of memory - initially small spells but will gradually increase.
* Failing of motor organs.
* Loss of balance and equilibrium.
* Slurring of speech.
* The patient's gait changes distinctly.
* Visible changes in personality, lack of focus and attention.
Brain Cancer is a killer. However, with more and more research being conducted to stem its spread and increase chances of a patient surviving, doctors have combined doses of radiation and chemo therapy. Where possible, surgery is being resorted to remove the tumor followed by radiation to make the patient cancer free.

Mix milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla - beat well until combined

Pour into baking pans (Remember that the cake batter will be very runny)
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 35 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean
Finishing
Remove from ovenSet cake pans on wire racks and cool for 10 minutes
Remove cake from pans (run a knife around teh edges first)
Cool cakes on wire racks until cakes reach room temperature before icing
Icing
Butter cream works well on this cake but you can use any frosting that you wish.Butter cream icing:
1 1/2 Stick of Butter, softened
1 1/2 lbs of 10 X Sugar (confectioner's sugar)
1 1/2 Teaspoon vanilla
Dash Milk
Cream butter, vanilla, and a small amount of 10 X sugar
Add a splash of milk. Beat well.
Slowly add more sugar and small dashes of milk until the icing reaches a spreadable consistency.
You don't want the frosting too firm or it will be hard to spread. Too soft of an icing will not set up well and will leak out the sides between layers.
For chocolate butter cream icing, use less 10X sugar and add some cocoa to the frosting mix, starting with 1/4 cup, or to your taste.
Note - Many homemade cakes improve both flavor and texture after a day or two, so bake your cake ahead of time!
