The main character is Kurosaki Ichigo, 15 years old who live in a small town called Karakura. He can see spirits since he was small and didn’t care much about them. One day he met Kuchiki Rukia who is a shinigami (Death Angel) and that change his life forever. He was attacked by Hollow (Evil Spirit) and in order to save his family, Ichigo agreed to absorb Rukia power to become a shinigami and defeat the Hollow. After the incident, Rukia lost all of her power and had threatened Ichigo to do all shinigami jobs which mean destroying Hollows in Karakura town. At first, he didn’t much dedicate himself to do shinigami’s job but later when he met his mother murderer who is also a Hollow which makes him devoted to protect Karakura town from Hollows.
When everything seems alright for Ichigo suddenly Rukia has left Ichigo’s house and leaving her note that she had to return to Soul Society (Places where the spirits gone when died). Ichigo went after Rukia but only had been stopped by other shinigami who were Renji and Rukia’s brother Kuchiki Byakuya. Ichigo was easily defeated by Byakuya and Rukia followed her brother to Soul Society. Rukia was sentenced death because of her action transferring her power to human and Ichigo was determined to save her. Ichigo undergo intensive training to level up himself before went to Soul Society with his friends Inoue, Ishida and Chad. There he went some great battles with lieutenant and leader shinigami from different groups. In Soul Society there exist 13 groups or divisions who protect it from harm. These 13 groups are the pillar of Soul Society and each group has their own function or jobs. Without the 13 groups, Soul Society will finish. Ichigo had to fight with almost all the 13 group’s leader in order to rescue Rukia but at that time Ichigo was still weak and therefore gone training to achieve Bankai (Special Move).
Ichigo had to fight again with Byakuya and finally defeated him and convince him to stop the death sentence on Rukia. When everything seems over, Aizen Sousuke, one of the 13 group’s leader came out and try to kill Rukia. It seems that Rukia body was hiding something that Aizen want which is Hougyoku (a small stone that can grant any wish). Aizen has fooled everyone in the Soul Society in helping him achieve his goal which is Hougyoku. He then escaped with his 2 group leader accomplices to Hyuko Mundo (Hollow birth’s Place). He became the King in Hyuko Mundo and planning to destroy Karakura town in order to make a Key that can unlock the heaven. This time Ichigo will join forces with Soul Society to stop Aizen.
Bleach is another famous ongoing manga and it is already move to another arc. It is 2 years later after Ichigo defeated Aizen and Ichigo has lost all his power. He is now living a normal live at Karakura town but as always some trouble come along. This time is about his mysterious father who is actually a shinigami just like Ichigo. This arc concentrate about Ichigo family secret and maybe Ichigo will gain back his power. Aizen was locked at Soul Society but not dead because he is invincible. In other word, Bleach will continue on for a much longer time.
