Guilty Crown

This story about Shu Ouma who accidently acquired an ability that was called the power of kings. It is basically a power that can pull out tools or weapons from human that was called voids. Some of the power was healing, sword, shield and etc. When he pulls out the voids, the person will be unconscious and if the voids were destroyed, the human also will died because it is basically the human soul that taken in the form of tool or weapon. Shu was just unfortunate boy that caught in the fight between government with rebel that known as undertaker. He try to save a girl and while doing so, the girl choose Shu to obtain the power of kings. He reluctanly joined with the undertaker and fight with the government.

The anime story is quite good but the second arc for me is not that entertaining. Shu got a sister before but his sister die due to virus that known as apocalypse virus which is turn human to crystal. It happened when Shu was a kid and many people died during that time. It is known as lost chrismas and Shu lost his memory about that incident and his sister. The first arc is enjoyable and Shu start from being a wuss and coward changes during his fight with the government to a fine hero.

But unfortunately, after the first arc the story take a turn with a town was close down by the government together with Shu and his school friends. His friends at school already know that Shu have power of kings and choose him as a leader. Shu try to become good leader but everything change to bad when one of Shu friend sacrifice her life for Shu and died. Shu was shocked, sad, and traumatized that turned Shu to a cruel leader.

That is why I kinda hate second arc. Basically the hero, Shu become a jerk. Almost all his friend before when he fight together with them were trying to throw off Shu from his leader position. It really pissed me off when one of his friend sold her body to obtain something from some unknown jerk. The ending is also kinda sad because Shu lost his girl, Inori and also one of his hand. But don't get me wrong, it is still a really good anime that is worth to watch.

At the final, Shu finally grow back to become a dependable leader with his final fight with his best friend and his sister. Its happened that his dead sister is respawn from his girlfriend Inori. It is really have dark story but who knows, you guys may like it.

Sword Art Online

This is probably one of the top anime in 2012. This is based from famous novel with the same title. The story is about online game that when you die in game, you die in real world too. That is basically it. Some crazy scientist create a nerve gear that you can play online game in virtual. The crazy scientist Kayaba actually put application that can cook the player brain when they died in game - nice. All the players cannot log out from the game and they need to clear 100 floor of dungeon before they can actually get out from the game. They actually stuck in game for 2 years before they actually clear the game. The story is about Kirito and Asuna try clearing the game.

It is really fascinating story. The anime for me is really good. Kirito is known as beater in game because he is a beta tester and a cheater (what people assumed he do). He is a solo player because he didn't want to experienced again the pain on losing his friends. He did enter guild before but all his member died and he blamed himself for their death. But, someone actually managed to enter his heart and that is the heroine, Asuna. The story is kinda romantic and some episodes fill with Kirito and Asuna living together in a game for a few days like husband and wife.

After 2 years, they managed to reach to 90+ floor and after an epic boss fight, Kirito noticed something wrong with one of the Master guild. It really was the crazy scientist, Kayaba playing as player to watch just like story in Saw 2. Kirito fought with him and after Asuna sacrifice herself, only that Kirito managed to defeat Kayaba together with him. This is the first Arc.

The second Arc was after Kirito came back to world. He try to look for Asuna and find her still coma. She actually been held captive by her insane fiancee who is also managed to steal data from the sword online game and prisoned around 300 people in his game for human experiment. This time Kirito have to play another game to look for Asuna with his sister.

As I said, the anime is entertaining. The anime is almost finish with this week is the last episode. Of course, the novel is much further story with new Arc. There are some website actually translate the novel that you can read, if you're interested. Try and watch the anime, who knows maybe you will like it. The website for the novel is here.

Biomeat Nectar

This is manga about a bio engineered monster that run amok in the world. This is a good manga despite not that well known. Its about a group of 4 children try to survive from an escaped engineered monster  The manga potrait about the future where mankind having food shortage problem. The scientist decided to produce bio engineered animal to tackle the problem. We call it biomeat. The biomeat will eat anything except for glass and when it eat, it will multiply itself. So, there you have it, a solution for food shortage. The biomeat was kept it a well protected plant but when a big earthquake happen, the biomeat escaped to the town.

What happened after that is pretty much simple, the biomeat eat the civilian and reproduce itself and run amok in the city. This is where our main characters appeared at primary school. They escaped from school when the biomeat came there and went to find their parents. They managed to survive because the biomeat have another weakness, where it cannot stand on direct sunlight. It will curled up and stand still, at least until the sunlight stop. When they joined up with one of the parent, they tried to go out of town but unfortunately it already under lock down by the government. The government didn't want people to know that the biomeat is dangerous, so decided to close the town and nuke it (typical government).

However, they managed to survive but their parent didn't make it. So that is the part 1 of the story. Next is after a few years when their in secondary school, the biomeat problem happened again but this time is by the US government biomeat. The US make their own biomeat species which is different from the Japan but as usual the biomeat escaped and rampaging in the hotel where the US representative try to promote their biomeat.

The group of children, now are teenager also attend to the party because they knew this kind of thing will happen. The met up with everyone and again try to escape from the hotel. The finally managed to escape after let the US biomeat fight with Japan biomeat. Again time move forward for a few years, this time one of the children is already in adult is guarding one of the fence that been supplied with electricity preventing the biomeat to enter into town.

The world at the time is already in choas where the biomeat is everywhere. The people finally realized that the biomeat is dangerous. The south of Japan, lived all the rich and famous people living in luxury and comfort while other part of Japan was run by biomeat. The south had abandoned the people and prevent from other people entering south. Their luxury life is only for awhile, eventually the south also was run by biomeat and had to plead to other part to save them.

The manga is already complete. The story is rich with action. I recommend you guys to read it. Who knows you might like it.

Vampire Hunter D

One of the best vampire anime. It is an old school anime. Its about a vampire that hunt its own kind. The vampire is a hybrid. The movie started with a young woman was kidnapped by a vampire. Then, her family start to hire mercenary to save the girl. The hero vampire take the offer but he was not the only mercenary was hired. They are one group mercenary that was also in pursue to save the girl.

Like real vampire, the hero vampire is also not immune to sunlight. But, he can survive for a few hours before actually turned to ash. While in pursuit, the hero vampire was ambushed by zombies and the kidnapper minions. The fight was actually enjoyable and fun to watch. The vampire minions actually have dome strange power with them. So with the other group of mercenary. Actually almost all the other group of mercenary died except for heroine of course.

The twist here, the young girl actually in love with the kidnapper vampire. She want to follow her love vampire. She didn't want to married with her family choice, so that's why she run away. The kidnapper is a rival to the hero vampire. He went to ask help for some queen to escaped to the moon. Yup, escaped to the moon on a spaceship, where no one can come after them.

Then, another twist where the queen actually have another plan in store for the couple. The young girl was wounded, so with the vampire kidnapper. The ending is actually pretty nice. You can watch here for the ending.

Ju-on Ghost Stories

I really love to watch ghost movies especially from the east; japan, korea, etc. One of my favourites is Ju-on. The movies were really famous that the make sequel and the west adaptation - The Grudge. What is Ju-on about? Well its pretty much about a curse. A husband killed his wife, kid and a cat ( collateral damage here) because he found out that his wife had a feeling with other guy. Yep, she didn't cheat on him yet, just she had a crush with a married school teacher that she wrote in her diary which was found out by her husband. He went berserk and killed his wife and child on the spot. Then, he went to the school teacher apartment and killed the teacher's wife who is pregnant at the moment. Pretty brutal, wonder where she find this kind of husband.

Anyway, unfortunately for the murderer husband, his wife is not a normal woman. The japanese version didn't told the origin of the wife but in US version the showed us. The wife is some kind of miko (an exorcise) where her mother put all the evil spirit stored inside her. If she died peacefully which means natural death then there is no problem. But, if she died with regret, anger such as murdered, then the evil spirit stored inside of her will possessed her and went to killing spree. That is what is call Ju-on. And the curse is so strong that anyone come with contact with the curse, in this case, is the house where she was killed, will also become cursed and joined the crowd. So, its kind of unlimited chain of event or infinite loops that kill everyone.

So, the story is pretty much is ghosts killed/kidnapped with godly power; control time, pass through television, teleport,  time traveller and invincible. You pretty much finished when Ju-on chased you. Might as well give up and joined the crowd. Its pretty entertaining for me but maybe someone have different taste from me. Here is some of the video. Raiderz Game

Just tried raiderz game before and I'm kinda like it. Publish by Maiet and already live since September. Raiderz game claimed that they don't have any classes but change to style which is for me is still the same. There are still traditional class system but they change it to style; berzerker, defender, magician and cleric. The different is when you reach lv10 you can learn other classes skills or style.

The gameplay  is enjoyable hack and slash game. You need to dodge or block enemy attack and learn their pattern attack in other to do so. The game consist of open world and instances which is great since I like open world more. The max level for now is only 35 and you can reach is quite easily if you follow the quest. The quest is unfortunately still in traditional style where you search for npc with quest and kill/collect x number and go back to complete.

Like every mmo game, raiderz also is not perfect. Some couple of weeks ago, raiderz was manifest with bugs and bots that the game becoming a little bit difficult to enjoy. Some of the bugs were still in the game since alpha test and people were abusing it. The famous bug was jewel stacking, where when you died, you change with other armour consist with jewel and repeat a few times. Luckily, the producer claimed already fixed the problem but people will always tried to find the loopholes to get ahead from everyone. There already report that the stacking bug damage arise. This time, maybe the hackers got way around.

Even with all those problem, raiderz is still a fun game to play. Plus, it is free with cash shop. Right now people kinda balance but in the future many predict it will be pay to win but if you didn't care to be much to be top player and just want to enjoy game, why not and try this game. Who know, you might like it.
